On my book list at the bottom you'll notice "The Last Chinese Chef" which I read a month or two ago. In it, I learned it was tradition for them to have a cutting board made our of a slice of tree. I just happened to have one that I didn't know what I was going to do with. I know, who just HAS a slice of tree hanging around in their "to do" projects? Well I sanded it as smooth as I could, urethaned the outer bark, combination beeswax/mineral oiled three coats to the surfaces and this rather large cutting board has a new
