my blue eyed boys

Mark and I are enjoying every single minute with Dylan this week. Today was our first day on our "own" with him and we've learned the routine. Sleep, eat, play.
He is a delight and just the happiest little guy at this stage in his life. Doesn't make a peep when he goes to sleep and wakes up with a smile for you first thing.
Trys so hard to talk and loves standing and can actually hold on to stuff now. Amazing how much they learn these first months. We will enjoy each day we have with him and come home with memories til next time!

Di diddle Dylan

Today I introduced Dylan to a family classic........Di diddle. He was apprehensive at first but quickly grew to love it! My Grampa Corp used to do it to us as children and we loved it too! As we grew it got to be more fun cause he'd literally let us slip between his knees before pulling us back up. Because Dylan is so smart he already gets it in it's modified for baby edition! Fun to see our little guy actually laugh and this is just the beginning!

Through the Mangrove canals Last Day

This afternoon was the most perfect in Key Largo. 77-78 sunny and just plain nice!
We took a couple hour tour of the canals around here which we often do. Bird watching is just great. Egrets, pelicans, and even a Heron cooperated in my capturing the sidelines today. Bill at the helm, Lonell holding down the middle and me up front! A great day to end my stay. Tonite a new restaurant, Encore which looks fabulous to end my visit with my friends. It's been just great and I am totally relaxed now! On to Jersey tomorrow to see the most precious baby in the world to me (and Mark)! Here I come D-man!

A taste of the Keys

Enjoying that laid back feeling you experience when you come to the Keys. Nothing quite like anywhere else I've been and I can't quite explain it. It's about flip flops, a warm breeze, a cold beer, water on 2 sides of you, mucho fresh seafood, crushed and chunked coral, big old clouds in the sky, egrets and herons, old tee shirts and shorts as a standard uniform, eating lunch and dinner outside and leisurely, and just a come see come saw attitude! Definately a different pace down here and one that we all need in our busy, busy lives. As the saying goes "life is good".

The Keys

Tomorrow morning-Wednesday I'm off to Key Largo for 8 days. While I will be spending a lot of time watching basketball Thurs-Sun, I will get out to see the
sights and sounds and smells of Key Largo. It will be my 4th or 5th time there and
I never tire of it. Mostly because I love spending time with Bill and Lonell in this relaxing winter home of theirs. We eat great seafood which we get from the local fish market outside on their screened deck. We watch the NCAA tournament which we all love. We walk everyday before the heat strikes. Go out on the boat through the canals from their canal end outside the back door. Chill or (heat) ourselves in the Jacuzzi outside looking at the stars. Eat Key Lime pie almost everyday. Check out new restaurants for lunch. And Lonell and I manage to "redo" a room in their home most everytime I go. This time their bedroom. Couldn't ask for more fun for muah! Everything I love to do! And to top this 8 days off I fly to Philly to spend as much time w/my dear daughter Lindsay and my very favorite grandchild Dylan. Dave will even be there for a few days of my visit. Mark will join me there for a week as well. I can't wait! Hopefully I will post pics from both visits while I'm there............until then.......hola!

Dylan Update

From time to time Lindsay will just randomly send me a picture of Dylan and I save them all. Sometimes I just can't help myself and I have to share him with the rest of my world. This is one of those times. Too cute to miss by the rest of you!

Sound of spring

Spring can't be too far away............the geese are here. Taking an evening walk last nite Mark heard them. Today looking out at the course from our deck.........I saw them. So take heart, spring can't be too far away!

Big Ten Champs

Anyone who REALLY knows me knows I love Spartan Basketball above any other team or sport. I rarely miss a televised game and this time of year it is my number 1 priority. I always come to feel like the Spartan team is my "second family" and I am as enthusiastic about them as any true fan can be. I love them like their own mothers would (well maybe not quite that much). In any case, my boys have made my fervent devotion worthwhile this year winning the "Big Ten" season. I'm definately as proud as their own families are. While I will continue to watch them in the tournament and NCAA tournament as well, they have made me proud to be a Spartan fan.
Way to go guys! I speak for all the Spartan nation when I say "job well done"!
