Matt's place update

We have mostly finished the painting downstairs at Matt's new home. The dining room and living are grey.
the small bedroom/office is blue just like the kitchen. The bath is green. Matt picked the colors and
they look just great! Still have the trim work to freshen up w/a coat of white as well as the stairs
going up.
Thank goodness Stephanie is going to tackle upstairs as I'm about worn out. It's been fun though getting
it ready for move in. I'll post more pics when we get the furniture set up etc so you can keep tabs of
the progress!

Our Heron

Yesterday morning we looked out to see our heron in action. Standing in point next to the pond out front looking for breakfast. He was successful!

Happy Birthday Dave

Happy Birthday to the best son-in-law we could have ever asked for.
We knew we really couldn't choose you ourselves but had we been
able to do just that.............it would be you. You are caring,
motivated, smart, funny, supportive, and just a joy to be around.
Lindsay is lucky to have found someone like you to share her life with.
Hoping today is wonderful for you!

Freyling Place - Matt's new home

Friday Matt closed on his first home in an historic district of Grand Rapids. It's small but with all
wood floors and great potential to be a very nice little house for him. We're happy and proud of him for
finding this "bargain" that's in fairly good condition and he'll have great fun making it his own. All the
pictures on this collage are within a block of him and the neighborhood is quite interesting and urban.
I'll post more on the inside as we help him work on it.

Morning Glory

Morning Glory hanging w/astilbe

Another cool sky

Maybe it's not as good as a lake, but facing due west on a golf course is maybe the next best thing!

Family resemblances

Pretty much all your life you are told you look like..........

A lot of the time you fail to see the why's and where of's this might be coming from.
The person you are supposed to resemble fails to see it a lot of the time too.
It must all be in the eye of the beholder. For me, I'm supposed to look like my Grandma
Anzalone (according to my Mom) and others think I look like my Mom. Myself, I have my
Nana's eyes and my Mom's nose and mouth and face shape. My niece, Renata, is often told
she looks like me and she does but definately gets her coloring and freckles from her own
Mom.

In the end we are all uniquely ourselves.

Happy 28th Matthew

Posted by Picasa

Today I'm wishing Matt a wonderful day! Each year I celebrate both of my childrens' birthdays with joy in my heart for they are both so special to me. I'm very proud of the adults they have become. Matt loves life and all that it has to offer and his values are one's he's chosen for himself over the course of 28 years. I respect his intelligence and wit and hope his life is as full as he's made our's.

Brooke Elizabeth's Baptism

Today was Brooke's baptism at Heather's family church in Royal Oak. She was the perfect angel throughout with the exception of the water being poured on her head. She voiced her little disapproval for about 2 seconds. Mark and Mary were the proud godparents. Congrat's on Brooke's acceptance into the "fold".

Stinky feet

Lindsay and Dylan have this little "game" they play where she smells his little feet and tells him he has stinky feet!
It never fails to elicit a big smile from him as though he knows she loves him anyways despite the fact he has stinky feet.

Happy Birthday Dave

There isn't any one in the Wild family that is more determined to experience "all" that life offers quite as much as Dave. Very adept at cooking, photography, writing, guitar playing, hiking, parenting and able to stir up enthusiasm amongst the rest of us as well are just a "few" of his gifts. Here's to you Dave! Thanks for bringing the rest of us along on your Wild ride though life.

Pontiac Hub Experiment

This is an experiment for me using Adobe Photoshop to alter a picture of my Pontiac hubcab.
Used polarization just to see how it would come out and then tried to move it to a file
to be able to use here. Being a complete amateur at this I just wanted to try to see if
I could figure it out. Thanks for bearing with me!

Lochie

In the few years we've lived on Treetop we've seen a few different things tried to keep the geese (and goslings) off our pond off our deck. When I got home from work tonite I couldn't help but notice out the window while I was changing the latest variation on geese control. Needless to say I laughed out loud! How funny is this?
But the really funny thing is I haven't seen one goose. Time will tell.............

Summer indecision

This was one of those summer days........one where it rained, got dark, got light, was sunny, was not, was cool and in turn warm. Then sunset came and it proved to be just like the day...............captured in a good moment!

Under the weather

Yes, I along with a few others I know have the dreaded summer cold. Dave can relate!
I haven't felt as miserable in a long time as I feel today. Like someone has sucked lifes blood from me. I got it from Dylan and I can only hope he didn't feel this miserable. But no matter what it will be listed in my annuals as a "worth it" cold because I got it taking care of my precious little grandson! Hopefully this is the worst day and tomorrow starts the upward climb......................

Happy Feet!

NOTE *** FAST FORWARD TO 1:30 MARK ****While Dylan's not the first or last to "dance" in his little seat.............to us he's definately showing signs of interaction for purpose! That being his own entertainment, our entertainment and to show he just loves his life already. He loves our reaction and, darn it, he really does have a "beat". I tell Lindsay that he doesn't get this from her or his Grampa Wild but from his Dad and Nana Wild....atleast the rythmn part. Grampa calls it his "happy feet"!
