Jersey boy

We made it to New Jersey and it's delightful seeing the changes in our little Jersey boy Dylan! He is so much more aware in 7-8 weeks! And best of all he still doesn't make strange with us.............just stares and stares at our faces when we first come. He laughs and smiles so much now and grasps and holds things so well (sometimes too well). We're going to enjoy each at every waking moment with him this week and store it up til they come visit us in August!

Silver Lake Treetop group

We could not have had a nicer day to kick off the Treetop/Silver Lake group golf Potluck dinner event. Every Thursday in the summer we get together for a golf outting/pot luck dinner event. This is our second year as part of this street's golf happening. While not all of us golf or can golf each week, we still attend the pot luck if we are here. Each week it moves to another condo on our street and the host's do the meat and everyone brings a dish to pass. Believe me when I tell you the food is wonderful! We can hardly believe our luck in once again landing in a neighborhood of wonderful people who like to get together and are there for you in any way possible should you need them. Everyone should be so lucky! Ironically, this hole in the one right in front of our place (and theirs).

Parnell Memorial Day

For the Wild's that read my blog.....this is for you. This weekend we usually visit Parnell and bring flowers. It is after all Memorial Day. Knowing you all cannot we thought we'd picture and blog our visit. All is well there and it's still a beautiful little corner to end your stay in this world on. Now you have visited it this weekend!

I've been having fun taking pix in Esky! All of these are mine and Richard has helped me punch them up some on Adobe. I'm hoping to do a slideshow when i get back home to show you all more of them but in the meantime I'm pretty happy with showing you all a few favorites........all right here in my hometown.

Early Mother's Day

Since I will be going "home" as in where I grew up this Mothers Day I am honoring those who have been mother's in my "home" years. My own mother, Virginia also know affectionately as Giner and Mom. My two grandmothers, Virginia Corp and Nora Anzalone and my Aunt and Godmother, Laura also know as Larrie. Although I didn't ever know my grandmother Corp, I felt as though I did by all I learned about her from my Mom. I got my name Mary not after her but because of her. Grandma Anzalone was in my life until I was nine or so and I have very loving memories of her. My Aunt Larrie is someone very important in my life as well. I honor these women who are all special to me. For being mom's to me each in her own special way.

Like finding gold!

Tonite Mark and I will feast on these! This is one of our very favorite things to eat in this world ~~~~~~ Morels! Each year about this time people go in search of this delicacy. We are lucky to have a friend who is quite good at finding them, Larry Kinney. He and his brother go in search for a few weekends each year and if we are lucky they find enough to share. Simply cooked up in butter it is a taste like no other. Can't wait til Mark gets home tonite! Thanks Larry!
